Character Profile- Paige Thompson, "Geekyverse"

 Who is Paige?

Paige Thompson is the second major character in the Geekyverse series. She is the main love interest of Geeky Turn On, the POV character of both versions of A Tempted Geek as well as the second major POV character of Summerbaby, plays a support role on Geek on the Side, and has a minor role on How the Gatekeeper met the Geek! She will also play a major support role in the upcoming Waiting for October.

Personal History

Paige Thompson was born on 20 September 1993 in Bethany Community Hospital to Pastor Timothy Thompson and his wife, Elena Thompson.

At age 6, Paige began exhibiting extraordinary academic capability. She was always placed in the Advanced Placement classes as a result. She also met her best friend, Samantha Adebisi, at around this time.

At age 11, Paige became the first girl in her class to develop breasts. This made her the most popular girl in school among the boys, and the most hated person among the girls. Samantha was the only girl not to bully Paige.

When Paige was 12, she realized she didn't just admire the character of Beverly Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation, she also lusted after her. This realization caused her much angst. She officially stayed closeted for the next decade and a half.

At age 17, Samantha was caught kissing another girl. Paige stood by her side, and invited the girl to her home when she was disowned by her family.

At age 18, Paige and Samantha left Bethany for Arbordale, Kansas, pursuing their higher education. After suffering heartbreak, Paige enrolled into Karate.

At age 23, Paige became a Black Belt. She also found work as an underwear and swimsuit model, a job she hated.

At age 27, Paige met Daisy Derriwinkle, the woman who would become her wife by year's end.

Relationships

Pastor Timothy Thompson: Paige is VERY close to her dad, to the point she could easily be considered a Daddy's Girl. A major reason for her staying closeted was fear of his disapproval. It was only after Timothy made it clear that he would love her the same regardless if she loved another woman or man, that Paige summoned the courage to officially come out as bisexual.

Elena Thompson: Paige is close to her mother, but she also bore a grudge against her for "controlling her life." Elena would often pressure Paige to undertake more after-school activities, be more sociable, and so on. When Paige was about to turn 18, Elena gave her a choice: marriage, a job, or an education. Paige, begrudgingly, chose college. Elena then forced Paige to take a Business degree, something Paige wouldn't forgive her for until years later, when that same degree gave her the know-how to help Daisy start off her business. Paige silently reconciled with her mother, finally understanding that sometimes, you gotta be tough with the people you love.

Brandi Thompson: Brandi is Paige's little sister, seven years her junior. When she was a child, Brandi loved following Paige around town, trying to insert herself into whatever Paige was doing. When Paige left home, Brandi felt lonely. Now in adulthood, Brandi likes bossing Paige around, taking advantage of her sister's meek nature. That said, Brandi loves Paige, and will get tough with her to make sure she doesn't screw up her life.

Georgia Thompson: Paige's grandmother. Though the two once had a positive relationship, Paige distanced herself from her grandmother once Georgia started showing racist behavior around Sam. The relationship permanently deteriorated once Paige came out of the closet.

Daisy Derriwinkle: Daisy is Paige's wife. Paige considers Daisy to be her soulmate.

Samantha Adebisi: Paige's Sister from Another Mister. Paige and Sam met at age six, and have been inseparable since. Up until she married Daisy, Paige and Sam were also roommates. The two were also the Maid of Honor at each other's weddings.

Gabe Duncan: Samantha's husband and Daisy's best friend, he and Paige have a good friendship going on. Gabe greatly respects Paige.

Doug Derriwinkle: Paige's father-in-law. Paige greatly respects Doug, and affectionately calls him "Pop." Doug, for his part, knew Paige loved Daisy from the moment he first saw her. He approved of their relationship, but was a bit averse at how quickly they were getting married.

Dr. Sarah Keene Derriwinkle: Paige's stepmother-in-law. Paige also greatly respects Sarah, and affectionately calls her "Ma." Sarah has loved Paige from the moment they met, and has greatly supported her relationship with Daisy from Day 1.

Kevin Derriwinkle: Paige's brother-in-law. Paige has great affection for Kevin, and thinks of him as her own little brother.

Vanessa Russo: Paige's former coworker. Paige secretly lusted after Vanessa from the first time they've met, but Paige repressed those feelings. When Paige began a relationship with Daisy, Vanessa took the opportunity to seduce Paige away, which led to an emotional affair between the two. When Paige realized what was happening, she ended the affair and confessed to Daisy EVERYTHING. Although Paige intended to cut Vanessa out of her life, she didn't. This would lead to some major events down the road...

Todd Johnson: Daisy's other best friend, he and Paige are good friends. He and Paige met on the Internet when he caught a stream of hers. Initially Paige had a crush on him, but gave it up when she learned he had a serious girlfriend. It was Todd who invited Paige to the Yu-Gi-Oh tournament where she met Daisy. 

Jolie Richardson: Daisy's female best friend, she and Paige are good friends who have a weekly tradition of watching Anime together on Wednesday night. Jolie was the first person to ship Paige with Daisy, and is their strongest supporter.

Mike Wallace: Jolie's boyfriend, and an employee at the gym Samantha works at and Paige frequents. He and Paige are friends. Mike figured out Paige was bisexual long before she told him, and was one of the few to guess (correctly) that Paige was in love with Daisy before the two became a couple.

Amy Slaughterhouse: Todd's girlfriend. She and Paige are friends.

Angela Hart: A fellow gym goer, and technically the first woman Paige dated. The two went on a single, casual date in 2018 that went nowhere due to Paige refusing to leave the closet, and Angela already being in love with Christine Duncan. The two remain friends, though.

Christine Duncan: Angela's wife. Paige dislikes her for cheating on her husband four years prior.

April Mann: Daisy's ex-fling. Paige dislikes her because she thinks April is still pining for Daisy (which she is).

Michael "Mike" Slater: Brandi's ex-husband. Paige hates his guts for openly lusting after her, even while married to Brandi.

Mike Stewart: Paige's ex-boyfriend who cheated on her left and right. This caused severe trauma to Paige, and she's promised to kick him in the dick should the two ever cross paths.

Paul Jones: Paige's last boyfriend, and the person she dated before Daisy. He left her alone on the street when she got drunk, and Paige has hated him ever since. The viral video of her punching his lights out after he tried to strike Daisy pretty much ended his online career and destroyed his reputation. Paige regrets nothing.

• Paige is the second youngest member of her friend's group; only Mike Wallace is younger.
• She is 5'6'', weighs 125 pounds, and her measurements are 36-25-34.
• Up until college, she had a 4.0 GPA. In college, she was a 3.9 GPA student.
• Paige made Valedictorian on both her elementary and high school graduations.
• Her top 5 Star Trek characters are Beverly Crusher, Spock, Jean-Luc Picard, Leonard McCoy, and Quark.
• Marvel over DC.
• Favorite holiday is Christmas. Least favorite is Valentine's Day.
• Favorite superhero is Spider-Man. Her favorite Spider-Man is Tobey Maguire, though she considers Andrew Garfield to be the most handsome one.
